Who Are We?

  • We are a community committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ. We accept the testimony of His Apostles eye witness to His life. These twelve Apostles passed on to succeeding generations this testimony. Through proclaiming His teachings and giving of their testimony (called Apostolic Tradition).
  • We are historically part of the One, Holy, Catholic Apostolic Church
  • We believe in the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit). Three persons in one God.
  • We believe in the TRUE PRESENCE of Christ on our altar, as commanded by Jesus in Holy Scripture.
  • WE affirm the Traditional Creeds of the Church Catholic (i.e. Church Universal), the Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed.
  • We believe that the bible is the written Word of God, and that God continues to reveal Himself to humanity through our daily lives.
  • We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who will come in glory to gather His Church together to live and reign with Him forever and ever.
  • We are a body of believers from every walk of life and from various Christian backgrounds.
  • We are a Sacramental and Liturgical Church

How Do We Differ?

  • On the matter of divorce, individuals may remarry without an annulment.
  • Contraception is considered a personal matter between spouses and God, our Creator.
  • ALL are treated equally and ALL are welcome to the Table of the Lord at St. Michael's.
  • The Parish Ministerial Commission is the form of parish council used by this parish. It operates as an advisor element to the pastor and staff in areas of Liturgy, Parish Life, Education and Service. The PMC Chairperson and a Parish Lay Leader for each of the four areas stated above are elected by the parish for a one year term, not to exceed a total of two consecutive terms.
